Aged Care Facility

Cleveland

Another aged care project to our portfolio located in the popular suburb of Cleveland in Brisbane. Site is located minutes away from the Raby Bay with direct public transport connection right in front of the facility. We were able to accomodate total of 103 beds inclusive of seperate sensitive care wing of 19 with dedicated outdoor area and 4 suites for the extra needy residents. Majority of the rooms have direct access to the secure outdoor area or private balcony for the residents on the first floor. The modern architecture takes on a golden ratio formula to allow for balance and pleasant presentation. Number of items have been based on the golden ratio with the most prominent being Porte Cochere. Dimensions of the features such as columns, windows, eaves and many others are based on the Fibonacci Sequence. During the design phase as usually we have taken a strong focus on travel distances, living amenities, indoor outdoor correlation and other aspects that improve the life of the residents, as well as make the work more pleasurable for the staff. As part of the outdoor gardens, we have allowed for the veggie patches, so that the residents are encouraged to stay active and outdoor. There is number of pergolas and pavilions on the site to enhance the outdoor experience. The entry to the facility is via grand foyer of 5.5m high ceiling with glass facade that features the reception, cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, private dining room and large community room that has a direct access to secure courtyard. There are three main courtyards plus private designated area for the sensitive care unit.
