Keysborough

An aged care facility designed for the Sri-lankan community in it's authentic architecture. This facility is located in south-east suburb of Melbourne, Keysborough. It offers accomodation to 90 residents. The building has three units of which one is focused on sensitive care. All units allow for an easy access to shared areas that have immediate access to gardens. Residents enjoy one main courtyard with additional secure outdoor spaces. Deliveries and waste collection takes place at the back of the property away from the residents. The site also has a large carpark dedicated for staff and visitors with the drop-off zone under the Porte Cochere. Facility has it's own in-house kitchen and laundry. As part of the landscaping design we have included veggie gardens to allow residents to grow their own plants and vegetables and stay active. Residents get to enjoy private balconies with access from their rooms. Special design credits to Bruce Ratcliffe.
