Malvern East

An aged care project designed for Arcare, located in south-east of Melbourne in Malvern East. The facility is a home to 94 residents. Ground floor is designated as a sensitive care unit with access to secure courtyards with gardens and pergolas. The second floor includes both regular rooms and suites for more luxury living. The third floor has predominately regular rooms with some extra large rooms. Majority of rooms as per our usual approach has either access to secure courtyard or private balcony to allow for easy indoor-outdoor correlation. The facility is of the highest standard and includes great amount of amenities such as private gym, theatre, worship area, cafe, private dining, hairdresser and more. All units have designated nursing hubs located in the middle of them for ease of operation and superior supervision. The building has a classical architecture with the use of modern interior. The dining spaces are divided into two zones with central pantry to provide more homely atmosphere. All lounges have a great lookout over the outdoors and are located in the easily accessible places for residents. Special design credit to Bruce Ratcliffe.
