Pimpama

Aged care project located in the newly formed suburb of Pimpama in Queensland. The facility is located within the prestigious retirement village developed by Halcyon. The site abuts the natural reserve and wetlands. The design allows for direct access from common indoor spaces to outdoors to take advantage of the natural setting. Residents also have direct access to secure courtyards which are fitted with pergolas, pavilions and stunning gardens. Due to the large footprint the design strongly focused on the travel distances and convenient indoor-outdoor correlation. Building is divided into three main units, were each one of them offers a central hub amenities. The central hub allows for the residents to enjoy the amenities of the facility, each unit is fitted with dining room, lounges, activity space and medical cluster. With the application of creating a central hub all residents can stay within the same area and socialise on many fronts, thus we believe allowing for improved lifestyle. The facility offers the usual 5 star spaces such as physio, theatre, worship room, cafe with shaded outdoor seating and community room for the large local events that can be held within the facility.
